WBB: walk-on guard Mary Ferrito enters transfer portal

The 5-foot-10 freshman will look to finish her collegiate career elsewhere.

Transfer Portal SZN is officially upon us and since the women’s basketball team’s season has ended, we can expect to hear about some movement in Madison over the next week. The first domino to fall is freshman walk-on guard Mary Ferrito, who announced on Monday afternoon that she was entering her name into the transfer portal.

I’d like to first say thank you to my teammates and the staff and the University of Wisconsin-Madison! I’ve grown tremendously this season and have enjoyed my time as a Badger. However, after a lot of thought and consideration, I have decided to enter the transfer portal!
